Originally built as a Air Force Base in 1940, the military history of Myrtle Beach International airport is still apparent in existing hangars. In fact, the former General Aviation terminal was formerly Base Operations for the AFB squadrons.
In 1992, when the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base was closed, plans were made to develop the area for civilian use. We at Beach Aviation Services know what it means to "Serve your Country" as many of our employees have served in the Airforce, Army, Marines, Navy and the Coast Guard.
Some of our Military customers include the First Fighters from Langley AFB, Hunter Army Airfield, Columbus Air Force Base 14 FTW Airspace, US Navy Mayport, Fort Rucker, Whiteman AFB, and Andrews AFB. We are proud to serve you.
